This is my Art: abstracts and landscapes, mono-prints
and plein air, acrylic and collage
I am a semi-retired former Professor from the University of Toronto. When research in molecular genetics gave me anytime to be otherwise creative I chose to paint. My mentors in this endeavor have been Larry Middlestadt, Lila Lewis Irving, Linda Kristin Blix , Ian Roberts, John Anderson, Marcia Burtt, Sam Paonessa and Harold Klunder. I have painted at home, in classes and workshops and out-of-doors in Ontario, Provence (France), the Greek Dodecanese Islands, Tuscany, around Atlanta GA and in Florida and California. While teaching in Shanghai, China, I started creating paper collage landscapes, considered by some my best art. Making these paper collage landscapes has become an almost daily kitchen counter activity for me when it is not possible to plein air paint in warmer weather.
I have had several public showings of my art
